Privacy policy
Last updated November 2, 2026
Curio is a learning app. It has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. This policy covers the app and our website, curioapp.us, and explains the little data involved and where it goes.
What stays on your device
The cards you save, the facts you've learned, your quiz answers and the downloaded card library are stored only on your phone. They are never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.
What our server receives
| Data | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Requests for cards and images (like any website, these include your IP address, which our host processes to deliver them) | To send you the card library | Not stored by Curio. Our host, Cloudflare, may keep short-lived logs under its privacy policy. |
| Crash and error reports: the error message, where in the app it happened, app version, and phone OS and version | To find and fix bugs | 90 days |
| Your email address, only if you join the waitlist on curioapp.us | To email you once when Curio launches | Until we send the launch email, or sooner if you ask us to delete it |
We never sell or share waitlist emails. To be removed, email us at the address below.
Error reports contain no name, email, device ID, location, or anything you've saved or learned, and they are not linked to you.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-in. The only contact detail we ever hold is a waitlist email you chose to give us.
- No advertising, ad tracking, or selling or sharing of data.
- No analytics or third-party tracking SDKs.
Links to other sites
Every card links to its source, such as Wikipedia, NASA or a museum. Those sites open in your browser and have their own privacy policies.
Children
Curio collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
